See behind the veil

reveal true artist intention

stages of wonder revealed

hidden in bare brick buildings

freezing and distilling memory

isolating the vital

disabling dreams

into brush strokes echoing eternity:

an insight, an imprint, a new memory

bear witness to the future

see unique happenings explored

see artists’ mind sharply laid bare

in mesmerising inspirations, processed

vividly with feeling, the heart exposed.

Exquisite Fallacies

I wonder if I should explore a little

tragedy, trauma and tender wishes

that caused this toxicity, troubling.

Maybe I will witness the miracles,

the heart of me brutally exposed,

revealed in intricate brush strokes,

I’ll understand exquisite fallacies.

My concern is the many years

of defective culture streaming sorrow,

a copy of a copy of a lie, maybe false

longing and regrets, bathed in orange

washes, detailed pencil marks, craft

sings wearily of sirens and mystery

unsure in artistic labyrinths, breathless.
