Could you explain your practice?  Only you know why you do what you do.

I create photography and videos across the Brewers business to help promote and explain our brands and products. This can be anything from aesthetic paint pouring or mood board videos, all the way through to ads and even going out in communities to visit projects that paint has been donated to.

Is art relevant today?

I think art is incredibly relevant today as the concept of art as a whole can cover anything creative, whether that is art itself, music, film, television, design, advertising, and more. It makes up so much of what we consume in life and allows a creative expression not otherwise achievable through other mediums. Additionally, in the age of AI, creation of art still taps into very humanistic tendencies which are invaluable and cannot be replicated to computer generations.

We are always asked what other artists influence us, we want to know what art you don’t like and which influences you?

In the world of photography and film, there is a common tendency to apply teal and orange colour gradings and, honestly, I couldn’t think of anything worse. Whilst intended to create striking contrasts and look more cinematic, I like my work to replicate the vibrancy of it in real life and to celebrate all the colours and real feelings of what I am capturing, especially when I am working with paint and people! Seeing these teal and orange colour grades influences me to stay far away from it!

If you could go back 10-20 years what would you tell your younger self?

I would tell younger me that a career in a creative field is more than achievable and to say yes to more opportunities – don’t fear it not working out, just enjoy the process!

And also to get started on building a great network. The more work done in an industry like this, the more you realise how vital your network is as these are the people you make work with and hear about jobs from time and time again.

If you could go forward 10-20 years what do you hope to have done or not done?

In the next 10-20 years I would hope to get back into creating short films within my personal life as it is such a great way to express creatively.
