New Creative Energy in Guildford: Lockwood Studios

I’m excited to share some news , I now have an art studio at Lockwood Studios, Guildford’s brand-new community hub for creativity, health, and enterprise. It already feels like such a positive, inspiring place to work, and I can’t wait to grow alongside the amazing projects happening here.

Lockwood Studios is designed to bring people together. Alongside the studios, there’s a welcoming café with a courtyard garden, a programme of arts and wellbeing activities, and plenty of spaces available for hire. It’s a place where creativity and community meet, and where ideas can really take shape.

The facilities are impressive and varied:

• A large multipurpose venue (319m²) with private bar, ideal for performances, conferences, or festivals.

• Music and sound studios for rehearsals, testing, and recording.

• Dance and movement spaces perfect for workshops and classes.

• Meeting rooms, testing spaces, and breakout areas for events, screenings, or team-building.

• Art studios and workshop areas where artists like me can create, collaborate, and share.

What I really love about Lockwood Studios is the vision behind it: to foster a supportive, inclusive, and creative environment where everyone can thrive, from local businesses and schools to individual artists and community groups.

As one of the artists with a studio here, I’m looking forward to contributing to the energy of the place, sharing my work, and connecting with others who are using these spaces in different and exciting ways.
